The Violin Club offers elementary students a joyful introduction to classical music and orchestral instruments, fostering skills, confidence, and a love for music education.
About the Club
The Violin Club began at Hemmeter Elementary School in 2023 to provide an accessible opportunity for elementary students to learn violin through weekly instruction. Students in grades 1–5 meet each week to develop foundational violin technique while experiencing the joy of learning and performing. They play special arrangements created specifically for the program by Dr. Yeagi Broadwell and Katie Seigfried, featuring folk, classical, and popular tunes. Each 10–16 week session culminates in performances at the school and other local venues.
